When looking for your next fur baby try to adopt from a local shelter. There are some wonderful dogs and cats available just hoping you will stop by and adopt them. Most shelters today provide spade/nuter and all needed shots prior to adoption.

One of the best things you can provide a new furry member of the family is training. It helps the new member understand where they fit in the family and makes them overall happier. Not to mention happier family members and guests that come to visit.

Local shelters are often overwhelmed and need volunteers. The shelter pets need all the interaction they can get to help them put their best paw forward. It helps the pets, shelter staff and makes you feel better as well. So reach out to your local shelter.

Many if not most shelters are underfunded and are always running short on supplies. You can be a difference maker by simply asking coworkers to donate any blankets, towels, bedding and pet supplies & toys for you to take to the local shelter.
